Lexar Announces 128GB SD card


Lexar Media (www.lexar.com) has announced a new 128GB SDXC card. The Lexar Professional 128 GB 133x SDXC card promises Professional Level Speed for capturing your images and videos. Lexar is boasting a minimum 20mb/s transfer speed with this card. This will be quite useful for use in the latest high mega pixel cameras with HD video capabilities. Of course you’ll need a SDXC compatible camera to use this.

This product should be available somtime around the first quarter of 2011.  Lexar is also producing  a 64GB version of this card.  Now for pricing…  you better sit down.  MSRP for the 64GB card is expected to be about $400.  MSRP for the 128GB card is expected to be about $700.  You can read more about this product at the Lexar website at this link.
