Pentax has releases a new firmware update for its K-5, K-r and 645D digital cameras. This firmware release adds SDXC compatibility to the latest line of cameras availabel from Pentax. Individual improvements and links to the firmware downloads can be found after the jump
The firmware update for the Pentax K-5 not only adds compatibility with the newest SDXC protocol but also updates the following:
All ISO settings are available now when the camera is set to “Bulb”
Improved function and speed when using the Contrast AF
This firmware revision is labeled ver 1.02 and can be found at this link.
The firmware for the newly released Pentax K-r has also been updated.
This firmware is labeled ver 1.01 and lists the same improvements and compatibilities as those listed for the K-5 above. You find the latest firmware for the K-r at this link.
And last but not least, the Pentax Medium Format 645D has also been given a new firmware face lift. This firmware revision dubbed ver 1.01 provides compatibility with the newly released SDXC format memory cards. You can download the latest firmware for the 645D at this link.
